Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah has worked as an actress, musician and playback vocalist on Tamil films and Malayalam film. Annayum, Rasoolum marked her Malayalam and Tamil debut. Her debut was in Tamil alongside Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father is a lawyer at the Madras High Court. She has one younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as researcher assistant. Jeremiah was born as a child in Chennai. He was a student at National Public School. After the completion of his studies, he attended Women's Christian College. Andrea started the classical piano at eight years old, was classified as being a "geek" and was aspiring to be a psychiatric until the 12th grade exam. When she was 10, she was an active member of the group of the Jackson Five called Young Stars which formed the basis of her first singing and music composing career. She worked as an actor at her university and participated in a variety of plays staged in the form of The Madras Players, EVAM and various theatre organizations. Andrea served as head of the Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her professional career in theatre with Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. The year 2006 saw her appeared in a new leo advertisement alongside actor Shiva. She also acted in a TV show which airs on Podhigai. She's performed on stage in India. She was in a small role during the climax of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). After she rendered a song in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu she was asked to appear in the role of a lead female character in his next film Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea plays Kalyani in the film which is an adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed. The husband of the character is involved in a relationship with her and she's blackmailed. Andrea was chosen to play Kalyani when Simran Shobana Tabu and other actresses were approached. The film was first released in 2010. It was released in the month of August, 2011. Venkat Prabhu launched his multi-starrer Mankatha. It was her turn to play a minor supporting role. Annayum Rasoolum, a romantic film made by Rajeeev Rath released in 2013, was her Malayalam debut.
