Carol Lynley

She is best known for her performances in the films Blue Denim (1959), The Poseidon Adventure (1872), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972). Lynley was raised in Manhattan by her Irish mother and New England father. Prior to becoming an actor she began modeling as a young model. She was awarded the Theatre World Award in 1956-57 for her performance as The Potting Shed. Her film career began in 1958 when she appeared in the Disney movie The Light in the Forest. Holiday for Lovers (1959), Blue Denim (1959) followed. In 1959 she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer - Female in the film The Light in the Forest. One year later, she was nominated again for the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Female Newcomer - Female.
